DSi midnight openings announced

The launch of the DSi is fast approaching, and GAME has announced it will be opening stores from midnight in celebration.

Selected GAME outlets will open at 11:30 PM for customers who have already pre-ordered the console, which the retailer confirmed is considerably higher than the number that ordered DS Lites.

GAME stores will also be open from 7am on the morning of April 3rd in order to cope with the expected demand, and managers have confirmed that limited quantities of stock will be available for customers who have yet to order.

We’re looking forward to welcoming our customers at midnight or first thing on Friday morning who have been eagerly waiting this new hardware from Nintendo,” said GAME marketing director Anna Macario.

We know they’ll want to get their hands on it at the earliest opportunity so we’ve made it as easy as possible. The launch of a new Nintendo handheld is always a major event, and our customers know that GAME will do everything possible to help them buy one as quickly as they can.”
