The Kinect may be seemingly on the way out, but Harmonix is sticking by it with a fresh outing for Dance Central.
During this year’s Xbox press conference at E3, the studio’s founder Alex Rigopulos announced a brand new entry in the series, Dance Central: Spotlight, will be released this September.
Interestingly, it will be a download-only game, with new tracks becoming available each week.
Harmonix is also working on Disney Fantasia: Music Evolved, which is out on October 21st.
The Dance Central series is dependent on the motion-sensing Kinect, a peripheral that Xbox has recently dropped from the standard Xbox One bundle. It would seem neither Microsoft or Harmonix is giving up on the device yet.
