FIFA 11 gets PC spec boost

EA has announced that the PC version of football title FIFA 11 will at last boast the same sort of visual fidelity as the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions.

Recent versions of the sports outing on PC had lagged behind their console counterparts, having been based on older versions of the game engine. However, after two years of development the PC engine has at last been brought up to scratch.

The PC SKU will now boast all the gameplay enhancements that are championing the console game, including new animations, boosted physical play and, for the first time on PC, 360 degree dribbling.

The EA Sports FIFA franchise is committed to investing and innovating for PC and this is a watershed moment,” executive producer Kaz Makita stated.

We are delivering to FIFA 11 PC the high quality gameplay, innovative game modes and stunning graphics that have made FIFA the highest rated sports game on the PlayStation3 and Xbox 360 and winner of over 50 sports game of the year awards.”

The game is due out in Europe on October 1st.
