Fully 3D Pokemon X and Pokemon Y hitting 3DS worldwide in October

Nintendo has announced the first ever ‘proper’ 3D Pokemon outings – Pokemon X and Pokemon Y.

It’s also the first time the series has been released on 3DS.

Nintendo president Saturo Iwata went to great lengths to repeatedly tell his Pokemon Direct audience that the game will release simultaneously worldwide – previous instalments have always been released in Japan first.

Both games will be released in October 2013.

Little else is known about the games, aside from the fact they will unsurprisingly include new Pokemon.
