GameStop undercuts opposition with £167.97 price for 3DS XL

The upcoming 3DS XL can now be pre-ordered for just 167.97 from online retailer GameStop.

That’s the cheapest price yet seen on the handheld in the UK and suggests that Nintendo’s trade price on the device is directed towards a 200 – or perhaps even sub-200 – RRP on the High Street.

Current pre-orders for the device vary from 179.84 at indie retailer ShopTo all the way up to 209.95 at Zavvi (which, incidentally, claims that the machine will have a 249.99 RRP).

The 3DS XL will be released in the UK on July 28th.
