Gran Turismo details skid into view

Patient fans of Sony’s seminal racing franchise Gran Turismo have received a double-whammy of good news today – with the apparent confirmation of a July ’08 release for the GT5 in Japan and the news that the PSP version GT Mobile will see the light of day even earlier.

Unfortunately for European gamers, there is still no word on a European date for either – and seeing as there is typically a significant gap between the Eastern and Western arrival of the franchise, the possibility of a 2009 release cannot be ignored.

Game creator Kazunori Yamauchi let slip the proposed PS3 release in an interview with Japanese games bible Famitsu, according to Eurogamer, whilst the PSP-rumblings were muttered to Best Car magazine, according to The Magic Box.
