HMV offers £200 3DS trade-in guarantee

Retailer HMV is going all out to win as much market share as it possibly can on Nintendo’s 3DS console.

Echoing GAME’s remarkable Play/Trade deal on the device, HMV will offer a guaranteed trade-in price of 200 on any 3DS customers return to stores by April 7th.

Those looking to offload their old machine are also getting special offers. Though HMV hasn’t listed its exact prices, it days that those who trade in either their DS Lite, DSi or DSi XL will be able to buy the new console for as little as 109.99.

An additional 10 of trade-in value will also be added for anyone who takes up the deal between March 25th and April 7th.

They will also receive a free 20 HMV gift card that can redeemed against any items in-store for anyone who pre-orders a 3DS before March 24th.

100 HMV outlets will be opening at midnight to usher in the machine’s arrival. The first 500 customers to buy the device at either London’s Oxford Street store or HMV at LiverpoolOne will also get a free 3DS game of their choice.
