Microsoft remedies Halo 3 scratches

Microsoft has conceded that the design of the box that houses the Limited Edition version of its epic FPS Halo 3 has lead to a number of gamers opening it to discover that their disc is scratched – and has vowed to replace any faulty units.

The firm will allow any unhappy gamers to apply for a replacement disc free of charge until the end of the year – forgoing the usual 10 disc replacement charge.

The agreement only covers the Limited Edition, as there is no problem with the traditional or Legendary Edition’s packaging.

The replacement application form can be found here.
