Midnight Purple 3DS confirmed

A new colour version of the 3DS has been confirmed for the US market.

The Midnight Purple SKU, as leaked by a US retailer yesterday, has now been officially confirmed.

It will retail for $169.99 – like existing 3DS models – and will launch in the US on May 20th.

That will bring the total number of US 3DS colours to five, with Cosmo Black, Aqua Blue, Flame Red and Pearl Pink already on retail shelves.

There’s no word yet on the launch of the Midnight Purple colour in the Europe or UK.
