Mortal Kombat poster points to franchise’s next entry – rumour

An announcement for a new Mortal Kombat game could be on the horizon, according to a purportedly leaked teaser poster.

A post on Reddit shows what appears to be an official poster – displaying the traditional dragon logo above the words Who’s Next?”

Series co-creator Ed Boon appears to have been in on the act for a while, with Polygon noting his recently updated Twitter profile featuring the black and white logo from the poster.

Past teases from Boon point to Mortal Kombat X, which seems to add up as Mortal Kombat’s most recent release in 2011 is also referred to as Mortal Kombat 9.

Boon also hints at at countdown that will end in an apparent reveal on Monday June 2nd, one week ahead of E3 2014.
