New 3DS and New 3DS XL get 2014 Australian launch

Nintendo’s New 3DS and New 3DS XL will arrive in Australia this side of Christmas but are still not due in Europe until 2015.

The platform holder has confirmed a November 21st launch for both devices, which will be priced at AUS$219.95 (120) and AUS$249.95 (135) and arrive alongside a collection of faceplates.

Both machines are scheduled to launch in Japan on October 11th but are pencilled in for a vague ‘2015′ release in Europe.

Nintendo UK, meanwhile, seems intent of focusing its efforts on selling an assortment of special edition 3DS and 2DS machines in the run-up to Christmas over here.

UPDATE: Nintendo has confirmed to Videogamer that Australian New 3DS’ will work with UK software, opening the door to potential importing for impatient UK buyers.
