Following the news that Sony is ready to unleash a redesigned PS2,
which was first revealed by MCV last week
, SCEE has confirmed to MCV that a European launch in the New Year is on the cards.
Though no news on date or price has yet been announced, MCV understands that despite the fact the machine did not see a drop in price in Japan, a price reduction to $99 could be in the works for the US launch.
It was earlier today confirmed that the machine will arrive in Japan on November 22nd.
