Next-gen FIFA 14’s Living Worlds: "Storytelling in football like never before"

While it’s expected that FIFA 14 will be drastically different on current-gen and next-gen systems, thanks chiefly to the EA Sports Ignite engine being employed on PS4 and Xbox One, the Living Worlds feature, which will be exclusively in the next-gen versions could well be the biggest differentiator.

FIFA 14 executive producer David Rutter told OPM that the current and next-gen versions of FIFA 14 will be vastly different. Put them side by side and play them one after the other, then you realise how vastly different they are. It’s remarkable,” he said.

However, the bit that really piqued our interest was resigned to just once sentence in OPM’s piece on the next-gen version – Then there’s FIFA’s new Living Worlds, a next-gen exclusive feature aiming to capture the essence of storytelling in football like never before.”

EA has been rather quiet on the next-gen version of FIFA 14 so far, but we hope to hear a lot more about Living Worlds as it readies the next-gen version following the September release of the game on current-gen platforms.
