Nintendo DSi XL to launch on March 5th

MCV can reveal that Nintendo will launch the DSi XL in Europe and the UK on March 5th.

The fourth iteration follows in the footsteps of the original DS, the DS Lite and last year’s DSi.

It features by far the largest screen ever seen on a Nintendo handheld (as shown above), with its 4.2 inches representing a 93 per cent hike over the screens on the DS Lite.

When it launches the new portable will come pre-loaded with two games – Dr Kawashima’s Little Bit of Brain Training: Arts Edition and Dictionary: 6 in 1. There’s also the in-built web browser and other functions the DSi introduced to the format.

Red and Dark Brown SKUs will be available at launch.
