Nintendo to release ‘key property’ at Xmas

The CEO of US retail giant Gamestop has said that Nintendo has asked him to save shelf space this Christmas – for a major new key property”.

Dan DeMatteo told CNBC:

"We think there will be a Nintendo key property coming out by the end of the year. They haven’t given us any insight, but they have told us to reserve [shelf] space."

Nintendo has previously hinted it may be working on a new Zelda game, whilst some predict a debut on Wii for the Super Mario Bros. franchise.

A Nintendo UK spokesperson offered MCV a no comment when contacted.

DeMatteo also called for price cuts on PS3 and Wii.
