NINTENDO: Two new Animal Crossing games headed to 3DS and Wii U

Tom Nook and his zoological buddies will be setting up home on 3DS and Wii U once again.

Previously released in Japan, Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer is due out on Nintendo’s handheld platform in late September in the UK and Europe.

The decorating game will also feature support for the newly-introduced card Amiibo.

It wasn’t the only new Animal Crossing game announced during Nintendo’s E3 Digital Event, however.

Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival is a virtual board game set in the animal-populated universe.

It features compatibility with the full-size Amiibo figurines, and seems to play much like its sibling franchise, Mario Party.
