Nintendo US giving Disney Infinity away for free

Nintendo has mailed out its latest list of eShop updates for the US…. and it’s giving Disney Infinity away for nothing.

Elsewhere, there’s a few bargains to be had. And Mega Man 6 is coming to the machine. But it’s the Disney Infinity element that is most intriguing.

Of course, consumers will still need to buy the toys and the portal and the other power discs. So there’s plenty of money to be made for Disney and Nintendo.

It comes as the platform holder attempts to become the ‘home’ of the toys-to-life genre. It is looking into signing marketing deals with Skylanders and Disney Infinity, and is developing its own Amiibo line of toys.

Nintendo will hope it can help it win over the kids audience this Christmas.
