PlayStation Plus ’12 months plus 90 days free’ offer live now

At Gamescom, Sony announced a PS4 pre-launch promotion for PlayStation Plus, which would give subscribers 90 days extra on a one-year subscription. That promotion is live now on the Indian store.

The annual PlayStation Plus subscription is priced at Rs 2,950 and entitles PS3, PS Vita and (once it launches) PS4 users to free full games every month as part of the Instant Game Collection. Assassin’s Creed 3 will be available in the collection next month.

PlayStation Plus also provides a cloud storage facility for saved games, auto downloads for patches, DLC and preorders, full game trials, discounts, and more.

While online multiplayer is free for PS3 and PS Vita, for PS4 users, a PlayStation Plus subscription will be mandatory for online multiplayer gaming, so if you’re planning to pick up a PS4, subscribing to Plus for a year now would give you an extra three months for free.
