PS Vita TV likely to get Western release, Sony suggests

Sony has calmed fears that the recently announced PS Vita TV will not be launched in the West.

Much of the game press latched onto a comment made by PlayStation CEO Andrew House in an interview with TechOn in which he stated that Sony is planning to sell the PS Vita TV in China, South Korea, etc, but not in the US and European market at this point”.

That seemed to MCV as very much the response you would expect considering that Western launch details had not yet been announced.

And that, it seemingly transpires, is very much the case.

Speaking on Twitter, Sony studios boss Shuhei Yoshida has stated: For people wondering about PS Vita TV outside Japan, we are just saying now ‘PS Vita TV releasing first in Japan’. Stay tuned.”
