R4 cards dont work on DSi

It has emerged that the R4 card, a SD-card based device that allows DS owners to play pirated and homebrew software on their Nintendo handhelds, does not work with the upcoming DSi.

Though there has been no confirmation, it is likely that the move was a deliberate one from Nintendo. The platform holder has previously moved to block region-lock breaking software from working with its Wii console via a downloadable system update.

The R4 has caused plenty of outrage in recent times, with ELSPA speaking publicly and Nintendo taking legal action against retailers,. Indeed, UK retail en masse has condemned the sale of the device.
