Razer’s Project Fiona brings traditional gaming to tablets

A brand new gaming tablet revealed this week at E3 looks to marry the ideal of traditional hardcore gaming and the convenience of a tablet PC.

Razer’s ‘Project Fiona’ integrates two PS3 Navigation style controllers that sit either side of the tablet device. Each includes an analogue joypad, four face buttons and two triggers, as well as force feedback.

Housed inside is a Core i7 processor and Windows 8, and compatibility with most modern PC games is promised.

The device is due out in Q4 2012 at a price of less than $1000.

"Project Fiona’s combination of highperformanceIntel-based gaming hardware and innovative tablet design is specifically focused for PC gamers,” Intel’s director of partner marketing for network and tablet Brad Graff stated.

It will unleash the PC gamer to play their existing and future high-end games in one of the most exciting new form factors – a tablet."
