Rob Lowe leaves Nintendo

Nintendo marketing vet Rob Lowe will leave the company, the firm has announced.

Lowe was one of the execs responsible for the launch of Wii in the UK, and has been part of the team for eight years.

He leaves Nintendo UK on June 1st to take become marketing director for BBC Worldwide.

A replacement for Lowe – as well as marketing boss Dawn Paine – will be announced at a later date.

"Rob has been avaluable member of the UK marketing team and whilst we are sad to see him go, we are proud to watch a member of our Nintendo family start a new chapter in their career," said Nintendo UK general manager David Yarnton.

"Rob leaves behind him a talented and exceptional team who will continue to deliver some of the industries strongest and most creative campaign as we embark on an exciting year ahead."
