Splatoon due Q2 2015 while Kirby’s Wii U game gets a new name

Nintendo has issued a slightly more definitive release date for one Wii U game and confirmed a new title for another.

Colourful shooter Splatoon will be released on the console in the second quarter of 2015. It features kids battling squids with ink guns. Really.

Also confirmed in the name of Kirby’s upcoming Wii U adventure – Kirby and the Rainbow Paintbrush. It had previously gone under the name of Kirby and the Rainbow Curse.

There will be co-op play for up to four players, with the person in charge of the Wii U Gamepad fulfilling a number of special functions.

That will be out some time between July and December 2015.
