The horror! Capcom’s disturbing Resi TV ads

Capcom debuted its frightening new live-actionTV ad for Resident Evil 6 during England’s 5-0 win against Moldova.

The 60 second ad – which featured people praying for help as the end approaches – was then followed up post-match with a 30 second gameplay trailer.

Capcom also sent out SMS messages directing people to the game’s YouTube channel so they could watch extended cuts of the ad.

A second TV?spot, which showed people leavingfinal messages for their loved ones, has alsobeen produced.

Needless to say we’re excited about the impact the campaign has had and look forward to that continuing over the coming weeks with additional communications activity,” said Capcom’s UK product manager Craig Brown.

Resident Evil 6 will be hitting store shelves for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC on October 2nd.
