Trip Hawkins: iPhone is freaking out Sony and Nintendo

Trip Hawkins, games industry legend and founder of publishing powerhouse EA, has stated that he believes the success of Apple’s iPhone has major platform holders worried.

Hawkins is the current chief executive of mobile games developer Digital Chocolate, and has enjoyed great success on Apple’s device.

The iPhone is by far our most effective platform,” Hawkins told Venturebeat. Between the iPod Touch and the iPhone, I think the platform is freaking out Sony and Nintendo."
