UK CHARTS: Wii Fit holds on

Wii Fit has become Nintendo’s longest serving ELSPA Gfk-ChartTrack All Formats No. 1, with a total of 11 weeks at the top.

The fitness title surpasses Nintendo’s previous record-holder, Pokmon Yellow, which enjoyed ten weeks at No. 1 back in 2000.

Wii Fit has also managed to hold off competition from EA’s new movie tie-in The Godfather II, which secured second place ahead of this week’s highest climber, Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games, which leapt six places into third position.

Elsewhere in the Easter charts, Activision Blizzard’s Monsters vs. Aliensgrabs 23rd place, while GTA: Chinatown Wars falls out of the Top Ten into nineteenth position.
