VIDEO: No Nintendo E3 press conference, will air a Direct-style video instead

Nintendo will for the second year running not hold a press conference at E3.

Instead, it will air an E3 video news broadcast that will further detail about the gaming experiences on the way for Nintendo platforms in 2014 and beyond”.

The video will go out at 5pm UK time on Tuesday June 10th, which will likely be the day after Sony and Microsoft’s presentations if past history is anything to go by.

There will also be live videos of gameplay demos from the show floor hosted by Nintendo America’s ‘Treehouse’ Product Development department.

Over the last few years, Nintendo has repeatedly reinvented its approach to E3 by creating unique ways to break news and get fans at home involved in the fun, while also offering great experiences for on-site attendees,” the press release reads.

That mission continues in 2014 as Nintendo offers a series of new channels to communicate news directly to its key audiences, including fans, media, analysts, investors and business partners.”

There will also be a Super Smash Bros tournament at LA’s Nokia Theatre.

Furthermore, Nintendo has repeated the fine work seen in its Tomodachi Life video from earlier this month by laying on some similar crazy in this E3 2014 preview video.
