VideoGamer firm launches new sports games site

Sportra, a website dedicated to sports video games, is now live.

The site has been launched by Pro-G Media, the publisher of VideoGamer.com, and is run by former VideoGamer editor Tom Orry and new writer Brett Phipps.

Sportra focuses on providing news, videos and gamer guides around the market’s biggest sports games, such as FIFA, PES, Forza and WWE.

Pro-G Media MD Adam McCann said: "I’m delighted for the launch, and welcome Brett to the team. Our aim is to grow Sportra to become the premier destination from fans of real-world sport and sports games."

Orry added: "Sports and sports video games are a big deal. If you love sport there’s always something to talk about, and we hope to tap into that passion felt by millions of people.

"By dedicating ourselves to pure sports coverage, we will create content far beyond what is seen on traditional multi-genre websites."

The site can be found at www.sportra.com.
