Wall Street Journal, other non-gaming apps hit Xbox Live

A trio of new apps unaffiliated with gaming have arrived for Xbox Live Gold subs.

Major Nelson reveals The Wall Street Journal has launched its news streaming app WSJ Live.

The app provides unlimited access to the publication’s complete library of video material, as well as streaming four hours of live news each day.

Along with the news option, a Ford advertising app is also available. It should be especially helpful for those into car commercials, though beyond that it’s a bit of head-scratcher.

Finally, XBL Gold users in Spain now have access to Gol Stadium, a footy-focused app that streams live events and other content for subscribers of the Gol Televisin service.
