Wii in one-in-three UK households

Tucked away in its news release concerning its star-studded celebrity marketing campaign for Wii and DS this Christmas, Nintendo has also revealed a juicy statistic.

Chart-Track numbers reportedly show that one in three UK households now owns a Wii console, illustrating the remarkable extent to which the motion-controlled device has reach a new mass-market.

In addition, over 11m households now contain at least one DS owner.
