Wii U-exclusive Devil’s Third set for August release

Hack and slash title Devil’s Third is coming to the UK at the end of August.

The Wii U-exclusive action game – fromNinja Gaiden creator Tomonobu Itagaki anddeveloped by Valhalla Game Studios – is set for an August 28th release date in the region. It’s coming to Japan on August 4th.

The game was initially being developed for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and was being published by now defunct company THQ.

Initially set for release in the 2013 fiscal year, THQ opted not to publish it as it did not meet the ‘profitability profile’ the firm was hoping to achieve. Little was heard from the game after that.

That’s until last E3, when it showed its ahead again, this time coming out exclusively for the Wii U.
