WiiWare hits Europe

Nintendo’s WiiWare service has made its European debut – and, as promised, there are six downloadable titles available to consumers to choose from on launch day.

The service launched in Japan in March and in the US last week.

Key games available from today include Lost Winds from UK developer Frontier, Pirates: The Key of Dreams from Dutch outfit Oxygen Interactive, Toki Tori from Dutch developer Two Tribes and TV Show King from French firm Gameloft.

Opening this creative door will provide Wii users access to a huge choice of games that they can easily download and enjoy,” said Laurent Fischer, Nintendo of Europe’s MD of marketing & PR.

European WiiWare launch titles are available to download from the Wii Shop Channel and their prices are:

Lost Winds – 1000 Points
Dr Mario & Germ Buster – 1000 Points
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a King – 1500 Points
Star Soldier R – 800 Points
Toki Tori – 900 Points
TV Show King – 1000 Points
