Wipeout 2097 leads PSN charge

Hot on the heels of the release of the new

1.90 firmware

today, Sony is to treat owners to a broad selection of new content tomorrow, with classic PSOne racer Wipeout 2097 leading the charge.

The second instalment in the futuristic racing series will be joined by a number of other PSOne titles – namely Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back, Spyro 2: Ripto’s Rage and Medievil. All of the titles will be playable on both the PS3 and PSP.

Additional content arriving tomorrow includes the Gran Turismo 5 Prologue video that premiered at E3, a trailer for Sony’s upcoming Ratchet & Clank: Tools of Destruction and, as reported yesterday, a playable demo of Ninja Theory’s Heavenly Sword.
