Yo-Kai Watch launching on 3DS this April

The Yo-Kai Watch video game has been confirmed to launch in Europe at the end of April.

Nintendo has announced that the hit Japanese monster title is going to come to 3DS on April 29th.

This comes shortly after Viz Media Europe revealed that the animated series based on the hit brand would be launching on April 23rd in the UK. The first 26 episodes are being broadcast on Cartoon Network.

The distributor has said that Yo-Kai Watch could be ‘the next Pokmon’.

In addition to announcing the game’s release date, Nintendo has revealed that over ten million units of the series have been shipped to retail.

Three Yo-Kai Watch Games have been released thus far. The second game, which launched in July 2014, sold 1.3m units in its first week alone. And the third title in the franchise – spin off release Busters – sold 700,000 copies when it debuted in July 2015.
