Creative grabs rights to Wii Sniper game

The million-selling Sniper Elite franchise will return to the UK market as a Wii game at the end of the year, handled by Creative Distribution.

The game is based on the original 2005 release which debuted on PS2 and spread to other formats including Xbox and PC.

Sniper Elite on Wii will arrive in stores on Friday, December 10th priced at 24.99. The title was previously scheduled for release in the UK this summer, and has already achieved 100,000 sales in Europe. It will be published by Reef Entertainment and distributed by Creative Distribution in the UK, with BigBen handling European distribution duties.

The World War II game is a first person action shooter and is compatible with the Wii Zapper accessory.

Creative Distribution’s commercial director Craig Lewis said: We are really excited with the opportunity to bring this game to the UK and Irish consumer.”
