Dark Souls gets UK release date

Dark Souls – the spiritual successor to last year’s PS3 exclusive Demon’s Souls – will arrive in Europe on October 8th.

The Xbox 360 and PS3 game will also be released in the US three days earlier on October 4th.

Gamers are able to pre-order the Dark Souls Limited Edition SKU for the same price as the standard edition – a strategy mirroring that of Namco Bandai’s recently released The Witcher 2.

The limited edition includes a guide book, behind-the-scenes videos and a digital download of the game’s soundtrack.

Dark Souls once again offers more difficult RPG action established in Demon’s Souls, which hit UK shelves last year.

Demon’s Souls was originally released in the US and Japan. Following strong sales and critical acclaim Namco Bandai brought it to the UK.

The game sold three times as many copies than expected in North America. Sony previously said not releasing the game in the UK was a mistake”.
