Day one HD texture pack confirmed for Grid Autosport on PC

PC gamers will have the option of significantly ramping up Grid Autosport’s visuals compared to the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions.

If you play on PC you’ll have access to the first piece of additional content the moment GRID Autosport launches; an HD texture pack that will increase the visual fidelity of the liveries and car exteriors,” community manager Ben Walke said.

We wanted to make the pack optional as the 4K textures included will be a small hit on your performance, so instead of bumping up the minimum specs for everyone we thought we’d leave the decision in your own hands.”

Future DLC has been confirmed, too – there will be both car packs and what are being described as mini expansions”, the latter of which will be based on an assortment of themes and offer new cars and locations.

Grid Autosport is out on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC this Friday (June 27th).
