Dead Island PR stunt gives MCV the chance to put ‘Luis Suarez bite’ in a headline for SEO win

And to think – we thought we’d miss out on the Luis Suarez SEO bandwagon.

As we know, Deep Silver is holding a real zombie-themed wedding in an effort to promote this Friday’s release of Dead Island: Riptide.

Now the company has put out a press release saying that it has extended a wedding invitation to Liverpool striker Luis Suarez.

For those of you who have been unplugged from the matrix since yesterday afternoon, Suarez hit the headlines yesterday after biting Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic during the 2-2 draw between Liverpool and Chelsea at Anfield.

Suarez was banned for seven games in late 2010 while playing for Dutch club Ajax for biting PSV Eindhoven midfielder Otman Bakkal. A similar ban is likely to follow in the UK.

Luis Suarez is currently getting a hard time in the media following his Branislav bite down, but at Deep Silver we understand those who have an appetite for human flesh like the zombie hordes found in Dead Island Riptide,” marketing boss Mark Fisher said.

With that in mind, we’d be delighted to have Suarez attend our zombie wedding… just as long as he’s aware that the bride and groom might bite back!”
