Driveclub PS Plus Edition ‘in final stages of development’

The long, long wait for the free PlayStation Plus version of Driveclub appears to nearly be over.

We’re in the final stages of development now,” the game’s director Paul Rustchynsky told a fan on Twitter.

The studio said earlier this month said that the game’s servers are being replaced and upgraded. The patch notes added that significant technical improvements will be made to enhance server connectivity and prepare for the PlayStation Plus Edition”.

DriveClub launched on PS4 last October but was beset withtechnical problemsfrom the off. So serious were the issues that the planned release ofa free versionfor PSN subscribers wasput on iceand eventuallypostponed until further notice”.

InFebruarySony said that the free version of the game was still in the works.
