DS game Brain Training arrives on Wii U

Nintendo has released a DS game on the Wii U Virtual Console for the first time.

Eurogamer reports that Brain Training is now available to Japanese Wii U owners who have updated their console to the latest firmware. It’s free, too, until June 30th.

The two screens of the DS are displayed side-by-side on both the GamePad and the TV. Note that unlike most DS games, Brain Training is played by holding the DS on its side as if it were a book. How it will work with traditional DS games remains to be seen.

Game Boy Advance, SNES and NES games are already available for Wii U.

So far there’s no word on when DS games will become available for Wii U in the UK.
