E3 08: Dead Rising on Wii shuffles into view

We know that Dead Rising 2 is in development, and if

talk is to be believed

, it may even be in development at a Western studio, but the E3 attention has turned to the

apparent confirmation from Japanese games bible Famitsu

that a port of the first title is coming to Wii.

No mention of either the port or the multi-platform sequel was made at Capcom’s E3 gathering – but Capcom of Japan has now confirmed the news.

No release date has been announced, but don’t be surprised to see this title tucking in to sweet, tasty Japanese brains before the end of the year.
