EA acquires KlickNation for BioWare social gaming push

Age of Champions and Six Sun Galaxy developer KlickNation has been acquired and renamed by EA.

It will now be known as BioWare Sacramento and will be the latest weapons in BioWare’s growing social gaming push.

In combination with Dragon Age Legends and Mirror’s edge 2D developer BioWare San Francisco, the pair have formed a new label – BioWare Social. It is tasked with targeting the hardcore-orientated social games community, if such a thing exists.

"We share the same creative values," BioWare’s SVP and general manager Dr Ray Muzyka affirmed.

"The new BioWare Social unit will bring BioWare and EA franchises to the growing audience of core gamers who are looking for high quality, rich gameplay experiences on social platforms."
