Software Sales Monitor: Market makes £54.6m

The market value dipped ten per cent to 54.6m, down from last week’s 60.9m. That’s still a huge amount and should increase as Christmas approaches.

Unit sales were down only slightly (two per cent). This was driven by a series of Black Friday promotions.

It was one of the last big release weeks of the year, with over 30 titles arriving. WWE ‘12 debuted at No.6 in the charts, with Professor Layton and the Spectre’s Call at No.7. Call of Duty:?Modern Warfare 3 topped the charts yet again.

Mario Kart 7 hits shelves on 3DS?today (Friday, December 2nd), as does Super Pokmon Rumble. Now! That’s What I Call Music: Dance and Sing also arrives on Wii.
