EA confirms Battlefield Premium, full reveal coming next week

EA has confirmed the rumoured Battlefield Premium service, following a pair of leaks surfacing earlier on in the day.

Reports started pouring in early Wednesday of the EU PS Blog mistakenly listing (and then quickly removing) ‘Battlefield 3 – Premium’ in the latest post.

Later on, a fact sheet revealing several major features of the service surfaced via the Neogaf forums, and subsequently EA confirmed the validity of it all to Joystiq.

"Looks like the excitement for Battlefield Premium cannot be contained. For details, please visit Battlefield.com on June 4."

The service requires a one-time payment of $50 and brings a variety of content such as the five released/announced Battlefield 3 expansion packs, two weeks of early access to new DLC, and unique items.

Premium members will also get ‘powerful new features’ like the option to reset stats and server queue priority, which more than suggests subscribers will receive higher priority in areas that directly affect non-premium members.

More info coming Monday, June 4th.
