EA hires former Starbucks digital boss Chris Bruzzo

Chris Bruzzo has been named as EA’s new chief marketing officer.

Bruzzo has formerly been involved with branding both at Starbucks, where he headed the digital and loyalty programs, and Amazon.

EA says the exec will lead an integrated marketing, communications, web and digital service organization designed to advance our ability to put players first”, adding that Chris will ensure we are delivering personal and meaningful experiences for players every time they connect with us and play an EA game”.

Said CEO Andrew Wilson: [Chris] has tremendous passion for building deeper connections for brands with their customers, and I know Chris will lead us to connect with all of you in new and inspiring ways.

Chris is a great fit for our organization – a collaborator, innovator, and importantly, a gamer. Chris is just as comfortable sharing stories about his days playing Escape from Rungistan and Ultima back in the early 1980s on his Apple IIE as he is debating tactics in FIFA, Battlefield or Peggle. I’m thrilled to bring him on board at EA.”
