EA names Matthew Bromberg group general manager of BioWare label

Electronic Arts has appointed BioWare Austin’s Matthew Bromberg as group general manager of its BioWare label.

Venture Beatreports on the appointment, which fills the leadership void left when BioWare co-founders Ray Muzyka and Greg Zeschukannounced their retirementa year ago this month.

Bromberg served as Major League Gaming’s CEO and president before joining EA in 2012. He will remain on as head of BioWare Austin, and Jeff Hickman will take on the general manager role for the studio.

Along with Austin, BioWare Canada in Edmonton and Montreal and both of the developer’s California studios in LA and Redwood City will now report directly to Bromberg.
