EA: PopCap confirms Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare

Despite some early leaks from ad meterial on the E3 showfloor, EA impressed press conference attendees with its Plants vs Zombies spin-off today.

Called Garden Warfare, and introduced via a gritty trailer spoofing the likes of Call of Duty and EA’s own Battlefield, the game is a team-based shooter inspired by Plants vs Zombies.

It’s developed by PopCap in Seattle, but built using the EA DICE Frostbite engine.

The game was one of 11 next-gen titles EA showcased at its E3 press conference today.
