EA predicts Spain World Cup win

Ahead of the start of the World Cup in South Africa in just eight days time, EA has offered its traditional prediction using a simulated tournament in its 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa title – and it has picked Spain as the champs.

The current European Champions will conquer tricky South Americans Brazil by a score of 3-1 in the final on July 11th, the game predicts.

Spiritual victors England, however, face an unimaginably agonising exit at the hands of Brazil. The good news? That we make it to the semi finals. The bad news? That we’re going to lose 5-4 on penalties. Penalties? Please god no.

Other predictions include Spain’s David Villa winning the Golden Boot and Brazil’s Kaka being named as the Player of the Tournament.

Moments to watch will include a nerve-wracking 2-1 win for England against France in the Quarters and a Third Place Play-Off win for us against Argentina. Which will hopefully be red card free.
