EA: Sims 3 on console dated

Publisher EA has confirmed that The Sims 3 will be released on Xbox 360, PS3, Wii and DS on October 26th.

The series is one of the most popular ever devised on PC and it will be fascinating to see how this appeal manages to carry over into the console market.

The game will make full use of both Xbox Live and PSN and allow users the chance to share their creations with fellow players around the world.

EA has also used its Gamescom event to announce the brand new The Sims: Medieval, which sees modern life replaced with an historical setting that’s true to life in the Middle Ages. It will be released in March 2011.
