EA: The Sims 3 could come to console

The boss of EA’s dedicated Sims division, Nancy Smith, has said that The Sims 3 may come to more formats than PC after it is released next year.

Smith also revealed that she doesn’t see the title as a ‘casual’ game – and added that, in EA’s eyes, the games is more of a toy than a game”.

She told the BBC: The Sims 3 is a bit of a technology transition for us. But we have a team of 350 people in San Francisco working on it. We are focused on launching it on the PC first and will see where it goes from there.”

The Sims 3 is currently due for a single-format release on PC in 2009, with an exact release date yet to be confirmed.
